Supporting the efforts to advance the protection of human rights

The overall aim of the project is to strengthen effective observance of human rights in Moldova by improving laws and practice in the field of human rights, but also by keeping human rights and rule of law issues on the public agenda.

Activities within the project include:

– Developing legal opinions, public appeals and reactions to initiatives and practices affecting human rights.

– Approaching international institutions to put pressure on national authorities to ensure higher human rights standards.

– Organising a summer school and public lectures to foster critical thinking, civic activism and the promotion of human rights among students and young professionals.

– Analysing the European Court of Human Rights practice, national judicial practice and their impact on society.
