Shielding Civil Society and Human Rights Defenders for a more Democratic Society

The project aims to empower civil society organisations and human rights defenders to operate in a safer environment, enabling them to serve as an active actor for promoting democracy and human rights in Moldova.

Activities within the project include:

– Developing the Radiography of attacks on civil society organizations and human rights defenders in the Republic of Moldova documented during 2024.

– Providing legal assistance to human rights defenders who are being challenged in court for their civic activism, with monitoring of court cases.

– Studying the electoral platforms of presidential candidates in terms of how they promote human rights and the rule of law. Developing a relevant analytical note to increase public interest in the subject.
