Andrei NASU

Legal Officer

Andrei NASU has been working as a legal advisor at the Legal Resources Centre from Moldova since September 2022.

Andrei is a jurist by profession, with a law degree and a master’s degree in economic law, and his professional expertise is based on representing the interests of the state before the courts, especially in cases examined in the administrative litigation order. In addition, Andrei has participated in providing legal and informational assistance to the Government and the State Chancellery, ensuring the interaction of the Government and the State Chancellery with other public and private entities, as well as in the drafting and endorsement of several normative acts. 

 

He started his professional activity in the public sector at the Ministry of Justice, where, from 2015 to 2017, he worked in the Litigation Department of the General Directorate of Government Agents. Subsequently, in the spring of 2017, Andrei was transferred by promotion to the Legal Department of the State Chancellery, where, during the period 2020 – 2022, he served as interim deputy head of the pre-nominated subdivision. In the autumn of 2018, Andrei completed an internship at the Ministry of Digital Affairs of the Republic of Poland, in the framework of the seminar “Strengthening the Human Resources Management System in the Public Service in the Eastern Partnership Countries” (Warsaw, Republic of Poland), organized by the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw (KSAP).

 

In addition to his core professional work in the mentioned public authorities, Andrei has been involved and actively participated in several professional development programs, projects, and trainings, such as: the Leadership Program for Young Lawyers in Moldova “LEAD” (ed. I, year 2017); the “CHALLENGER” program; the “Action for Justice” program; the “Action for Justice. UPGRADE”, Young Legal Professionals Program (YLPP) (ed. IV).

 

At the same time, Andrei holds the certificate for the activity of mediator, issued by the Mediation Council. As of 2021, he is an active member of the EDYN (European Democratic Youth Network) regional network, which brings together over 300 young civic activists, politicians, journalists and civil servants from 23 countries who are committed to promoting and supporting democratic values through their civic activities. 

 

Andrei’s native language is Romanian. He also has advanced knowledge of English and Russian, as well as basic knowledge of Ukrainian.
