Adrian IONESCU

President of the Board, expert in International Development

Adrian Ionescu has extensive experience in international development, specializing in implementation of reforms and policy advice on political, administrative, and fiscal aspects of democratization and decentralization, fiscal management, transparency, and accountability.

 

He has extensive management experience of large (local) public administration programmes. He worked most recently as an international consultant in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Moldova, Ukraine, North Macedonia) as well as in Africa (Tunisia, DR Congo, and Central African Republic).

 

He was previously Chief Technical Adviser for UNDP in Moldova, and Senior Adviser on Local Governance and Decentralization for UNDP Ukraine, having worked earlier as Director of the Local Governance Initiative (LGI) for the Open Society Institute.
