Series of trainings for judges, prosecutors and lawyers on recent changes in criminal procedure
The Legal Resources Centre from Moldova (LRCM) together with the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), with the financial support of the Soros Foundation Moldova, is organizing 10 joint trainings for judges, prosecutors and lawyers on recent changes in criminal procedure.
Each training will last one day, from 9:00 to 17:00, and will take place in Chișinău from 19 February to 19 March 2024.
Among the topics to be discussed in the training are:
Competence of the National Anticorruption Centre and specialised prosecutors’ offices.
Special investigative activity.
Access of the injured party to criminal investigation materials.
Audio/video recording of criminal investigation actions.
Communication with the parties and appeals at the criminal investigation stage.
Preliminary hearing.
Hearing by teleconference.
Grounds of appeal against decisions of the courts of appeal.
Inadmissibility of appeals.
Public hearings at the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ).
Jurisdiction of the SCJ to examine appeals against decisions of the courts of appeal.
Extraordinary remedies in criminal procedure.
