Presentation of the analytical note “Republic of Moldova at the European Court of Human Rights in 2023”
For the 14th consecutive year, the LRCM will present the analytical note on the work of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Moldovan cases in 2023. On 26 January 2024, we are launching a new document containing an analysis of ECtHR judgments from the previous year, as well as the amount of compensation our country has to pay for human rights violations. It also includes statistics on the work of the ECtHR in 2023 in relation to all Council of Europe member states.
The launch event of the analytical note will take place on 26 January 2024, from 10:00 to 11:30, and will be streamed live on the LRCM Facebook page. The analytical note “Republic of Moldova at the European Court of Human Rights in 2023” is based on the data of the ECtHR activity report for that year and on the study of the European Court’s case law in Moldovan cases.
Journalists, members of civil society, representatives of the authorities responsible for the implementation of human rights in the Republic of Moldova, as well as all those interested in learning more about the violations committed by our country and found by the ECtHR are welcome to join us online.
This event is organized with the financial support of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) in the framework of the project “Strengthening human rights standards in Moldovaˮ, implemented by the Legal Resources Centre from Moldova (LRCM). The opinions expressed are the sole responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the CFLI.
