The overall aim of the project is to strengthen democracy and the rule of law by developing independent and high-quality journalistic content to better inform citizens about topics related to integrity and the external evaluation of the judiciary. Additionally, the project’s objectives include empowering and increasing the activism of civil society to monitor corruption and abuses in the governance process in the Republic of Moldova.
Activities within the project include:
– Creating a web platform that includes integrity profiles of judges and prosecutors undergoing external evaluation, and developing video summaries based on the hearings of the Vetting Commissions.
– Organizing public lectures for law and journalism students aimed at facilitating discussions with international members of the Vetting Commissions.
– Monitoring the external evaluation process and informing citizens about the activities, challenges, progress, and achievements of the Vetting Commissions.
