Shielding Civil Society and Human Rights Defenders for a more Democratic Society

The project aims to strengthen democratic resilience in the Republic of Moldova by promoting critical thinking, civic engagement, and resistance to electoral disinformation ahead of the 2025 parliamentary elections. It also seeks to build an informed electorate capable of making voting decisions based on facts and democratic values. At the same time, this initiative is designed to foster a resilient civil society able to uphold and promote democratic values.

Activities within the project include:

§   Conducting an analysis of the 2025 parliamentary candidates’ electoral platforms from the perspective of proposed justice and human rights measures;

§   Developing an information and civic-education campaign on electoral matters through the dissemination of informational materials and the organization of public lectures, including in the regions;

§   Monitoring and publishing a report on attacks targeting civil society organizations and human rights defenders;

§   Drafting legal opinions in the fields of justice, human rights, and other areas relevant to the democratic processes.
