Support the Legal Resources Centre from Moldova

We are among the most vocal NGOs when democracy in Moldova is in danger. We follow up on the authorities’ compliance with existing rules, come up with proposals to improve legislation, and annually organise the ”Justice and AntiCorruption Reforms” Forum – a transparent and professional platform for debate aimed at identifying the best solutions for reform.

Through research and advocacy we contribute to strengthening democracy and the rule of law in Moldova. In the last four years we have organised democracy schools for about 100 students, trained over 100 professionals (lawyers, judges, prosecutors) on the European Convention on Human Rights, over 300 NGO representatives – on the 2% mechanism and over 700 students and pupils – on integrity and the rule of law.

Since 2010 we have been monitoring the respect for human rights in Moldova and summarizing violations of the European Court of Human Rights judgments adopted in the years 1997-2020 in Moldovan cases.

Support us to further develop these activities.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Introduction

To support its work, the Legal Resources Centre from Moldova (LRCM) may raise funds by means of various tools, including E-commerce, available at www.crjm.org. By using these tools, you accept these terms and conditions.

Your donations to the LRCM contribute directly to strengthening democracy and the rule of law in the Republic of Moldova as our mission is to promote independent, efficient, and accountable justice, efficient anti-corruption mechanisms, respect of human rights, and an enabling environment for civil society.

2. General notions

The website crjm.org, hereinafter referred to as “website”/”site,” is managed by A.O. “Centrul de Resurse Juridice,” based at 33 Alexei Șciusev St., Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, tax identification number 1010620008129.

Any individual or legal entity that decides to support the work of the LRCM through donations acts as a donor. As a result, it may be necessary to process the donor’s card or other online payment tools (accounts or digital wallets).

Making a donation gives rise to an implicit agreement with the LRCM, which will be the beneficiary of the donation. These provisions govern the actions of both parties to the agreement and are regulated by the effective laws of the Republic of Moldova on donations.

3. Duties

The LRCM has the duty of making sure that the donations platform functions smoothly and using the raised funds in line with its statutory purposes. The LRCM commits itself to informing donors on their request about the use of the funds.

On their end, donors have the duty of using legal financial resources. The LRCM will not accept donations that come from unlawful activities and/or criminal convicts. If the LRCM identifies these cases, it will return any such donation.

4. Confidentiality

The LRCM will use the information introduced through its website only to facilitate donations. The LRCM will never use this information for other purposes than the declared ones. Nor will the LRCM ever share the information provided by the donor with any individual, legal entity, or agency, except when authorities empowered to verify transactions legitimately request it or there are cases stipulated by law, and in doing so it will comply with the procedures established by these laws.

5. Donations

The LRCM’s website processes donations by means of PayNet and accepts Mastercard or Visa cards. If the card’s currency does not coincide with the donation’s currency, the exchange will follow the rules of the card issuer.

The selected amount of the donation is the net cost paid by the user, without any additional tax. The donated money will go to the account of the Association, which has a contract with the payment service provider.

The LRCM also accepts donations made through PayPal and Patreon, which process and manage these donations individually. The LRCM’s access to the information entered on those platforms may be limited, in line with their privacy policies.

Donations may also be made by paying money into the organization’s bank account at a bank office or any other entity that processes payments.

6. Two-percent designation

One can also support the LRCM’s work by using the two-percent mechanism. This mechanism involves designating 2% of the income tax that has already been paid to the State Budget. This procedure does not constitute a donation per se and does not include additional costs.

To make a percentage designation, one needs only to indicate the LRCM’s tax identification number—1010620008129—in their annual tax return. The percentage designation is anonymous.

7. Reimbursement policy

Donations are reimbursable within 30 calendar days based on the donor’s express request. For that end, the donor shall send the LRCM a written request, specifying the details of the donation and enclosing the proof of transfer via the E-commerce platform connected to our website.

The organization will return the donations received from individuals under criminal investigation or sentenced for unlawful activities.

8. Disputes and conflicts

Any attempts at unauthorized access to the E-commerce platform and fraud will be reported to the competent authorities. Any possible litigation, dispute, or claim arising from donations will be settled amicably. If this is not possible, the dispute shall be resolved in the courts of law of the Republic of Moldova.

It shall be considered that, at the time of making a donation, the donor is aware of and has accepted the general terms and conditions. The LRCM reserves the right to adjust these terms and conditions without prior notice to facilitate donations or to align its procedures with the effective laws.

9. Duration

These terms and conditions shall be valid for an unlimited period and shall come into effect from the moment of publication.
